Although several of the songs have been written as early as 2009; Escapegoat as it is Now, started in the late fall of 2023 when the drummer (Scott Dady) met up with the front man (Joshua Pilley). Although Scott was a replacement for a previous drummer, Escapegoat's music didn't truly begin to blossom until Scott brought his talent and skills of banging things really hard to the primal guitar and vibrating vocals. Over a year later, one psychiatric visit, and one bassist later, they found the god of thunder bassist that is Tim Ronan in early spring of 2025.

Forged in the depths of Josh's basement were songs for spears, swords, axes and warhammers to make the full set list of 13 songs and several others in the making. They are ready to emerge from the basement to see light glisten off their musical weaponry and captivate audiences.
